WV Night at the Drive-In
Join us for the third annual Westwood View Night at the Drive-In! Tickets are $50/car. Please Venmo @WWVPTA (memo: drive-in). We will have the whole drive-in to ourselves!
Plan to arrive at 6:30 and get settled into your parking spot. You can sit in the back of your car for the movie with blankets & pillows or set up chairs to gather with friends. Before the movie starts, your kids can play on the playground, toss a football or run around with their friends. At 7:30, the dance party begins and after that, the movie.
BYO snacks and drinks.
Pastries with Parents (and Grandparents!)
Come shop the Book Fair and then enjoy pastries and coffee generously donated by McLain’s and Sway Coffee Roasters.
WV Walk/Bike to School Day
Walk, bike or roll to school today! Donuts (and a few allergy friendly options) will be available on the playground at 7:50am to enjoy after walking or biking to school.
Parents are asked to stay on premises until your child enters the school.
Skate Night
Join your friends for the first skate party of the year! We will have the rink to ourselves! $7 admission +$2 skate rental (if needed).
WV Carnival
Come for your favorites, but there will be new activities to love and adore!
5th grade will be selling sandwiches, chips, and drinks at the Carnival.
Fall Parties/Parade
The parade will begin at 2:00 pm (playground gates open at 1:50) and classroom parties will be at 2:15 pm.
Halloween Candy Drive
Wondering how to stop eating all your kids' leftover Halloween candy? Please drop off any extra candy in the front office. We are collecting candy to set out for the teachers throughout the year when they need a quick sweet treat!
Veterans Day Assembly
The assembly will honor veterans and those currently serving our country who are a part of the lives of Westwood View staff and students. We will have a guest speaker talk to us about what it means to serve in the military and answer any questions the kids may have about military service. Each WV family is welcome to invite a veteran in their life to attend this special assembly and a gathering of veterans with refreshments prior to the assembly at 1:30pm in the Westwood View library.
Parents are also welcome to attend the assembly with their child.

Curriculum Night (Grades 1-6)
Curriculum Night (formerly Back to School Night) is where your child’s teacher will share important information about curriculum, schedules, and plans for the year. Parents and guardians only. 1st-3rd is from 5:00-6:00pm and 4th-6th is from 6:00-7:00pm. You will also be able to purchase spirit wear, sign up for a PTA membership and for clubs.
Kindergarten Boohoo Breakfast
Kindergarten parents are invited to a Boohoo Breakfast after drop-off on the first day. You will be able to walk your kindergartener to their classroom and then will go to the library for a light breakfast, coffee and to meet other parents.
First Day of School (Grades 1-6) & Coffee Cart
Drop your child off for the first day of the 2023-24 school year and grab a coffee with other parents in front of the school!
Coffee Cart
Join us for a cup of coffee after dropping your child off on the first day of the 2025-26 school year! The coffee cart will be located on the library patio if weather permits (otherwise, in the teacher’s lounge).
Ice Cream Social
All WV families are invited to the school to meet the teachers, drop off school supplies, see the classrooms and enjoy some ice cream. You will also be able to sign up for PTA, buy Westwood View shirts for the whole family, and purchase yearbooks as well.

Culver’s Spirit Night
Make dinner really easy and benefit Westwood View at the same time! A percentage of proceeds from dine in or carry out goes back to Westwood View. Tell your friends and neighbors too!
Kindergarten Round Up
If you have a child that will be attending kindergarten at Westwood View for the 2025-2026 school year, a meeting will be held on April 15 at 6:00p.m. Your kindergarten student should attend with you.
Used Book Sale
Open to students during the day and the public from 3:15-4:00. All paperback books are $0.50 and hard backs are $1.00.
Pajama Skate Night
Join your friends for the last skate party of the year! Wear your PJs!
Clairvaux Spirit Night
Come shop for spring and summer and 10% of what you spend will go back to Westwood View! If you shop online that evening, enter “Westwood View“ in the order notes at checkout.
