Ice Cream Social
All WV families are invited to the school to meet the teachers, drop off school supplies (find lists here), see the classrooms and enjoy some ice cream. You will also be able to sign up for PTA and buy Westwood View shirts for the whole family as well.
First Day of School (Grades 1-6) & Coffee Cart
Drop your child off for the first day of the 2026-27 school year and grab a coffee with other parents in front of the school!
Kindergarten Boohoo Breakfast (Copy)
Kindergarten parents are invited to a Boohoo Breakfast after drop-off on the first day. You will be able to walk your kindergartener to their classroom and then will go to the library for a light breakfast, coffee and to meet other parents.
Curriculum Night (Grades 1-6)
Curriculum Night (formerly Back to School Night) is where your child’s teacherwill share important information about curriculum, schedules, and plans for the year. Parents and guardians only. 1st-3rd is from 5:00-5:30pm and 4th-6th is from 5:45-6:15pm. You will also be able to purchase spirit wear, sign up for a PTA membership and for clubs.
WV Lunch on the Lawn
Join your child at their lunch time and eat with them on the playground!
WV Walk/Bike to School Day
Walk, bike or roll to school today! Donuts (and a few allergy friendly options) will be available on the playground at 7:50am to enjoy after walking or biking to school.
Parents are asked to stay on premises until your child enters the school.
Fall Parties/Parade
The parade will begin at 2:00 pm (playground gates open at 1:50) and classroom parties will be at 2:15 pm.
Veterans Day Assembly
The assembly will honor veterans and those currently serving our country who are a part of the lives of Westwood View staff and students.
Early Dismissal
Early dismissal for teacher work day and holiday break. School resumes Tuesday, January 5.

6th Grade Clap Out
Come celebrate the 6th graders leaving elementary school for the last time!
Art Fair
Join us for the annual Art Fair showcasing the work of all of the Westwood View artists. There will be Cupini’s offered in the cafeteria for $10/person, including pasta, salad, bread and dessert. Cash or Venmo only.
Used Book Sale
Open to students during the day and the public from 3:15-4:00. All paperback books are $0.50 and hard backs are $1.00.
Kindergarten Round Up
If you have a child that will be attending kindergarten at Westwood View for the 2026-2027 school year, please attend this meeting with your soon-to-be kindergarten student.

All-School Dance
Free for all WV families! There will be pizza and cookies, a 360 photo booth, glow sticks and dancing with DJ Kirby.
Science Night
Join us for the annual Science Night - a fun event for the whole family! SME Animals, Lego Robotics Club, SME Anatomy, WV Maker Space and lots more!
Pizza and drinks will be available for purchase in the cafeteria (cash & Venmo only). Slice of Pizza $3 ~ Drink $1.

Wear. your craziest hat for the last skate party of the year! We will have the rink to ourselves! $7 admission +$2 skate rental (if needed).
